Full Paper Submission

Guidelines, templates, review process and submission links for authors of The 9th FiA Conference 2026.

Call for Paper

We invite prospective authors in the field of food science and technology and related areas, including professionals from food industries, researchers and academia, to participate in the conference by submitting their original and unpublished work in the form of abstracts to be presented in the scientific discussion panel, and full-paper manuscripts for potential publishing in an open-access proceeding publisher. The full-paper manuscripts will undergo thorough double blind-review before submitted for publication to the partnered publisher.

The topics of the conference will include:

  1. 1Food Safety, Quality, and SustainabilityFocus on cutting-edge innovations to improve the food safety and quality throughout the global supply chain, addressing the critical challenges to minimize environmental impact.
  2. 2Nutrition and HealthCovers the development of functional foods, strategies to combat global nutritional challenges like malnutrition and obesity, and research on how proper diet can prevent chronic diseases.

All abstracts submitted and presented during the conferences will be compiled in the Book of Abstracts. We accept both research paper and review paper in the related topics as mentioned above.

Peer-Review Process

Authors, editors, and reviewers are obliged to follow and adhere ethical standards for publication to ensure high-quality scientific publication.

Authors have to submit original unpublished works without fabrication, falsification, or any inappropriate data manipulation. Any references used in the text should be cited properly and the use of third-party materials have to obtain permission from the original copyright holders.

Submitted manuscripts will be run through plagiarism tool detection.

Editors have the responsibility to do the preliminary round of review to check if the submitted manuscript is suitable to the aim and scope of the conference. Similarity check will be conducted to prevent plagiarism before the manuscript is peer-reviewed. Editorial Board will make the final editorial decisions based on the suggestion from reviewers, whether a manuscript will be rejected or accepted. The submitted full-length manuscripts will be subjected to peer-review by reputable researchers in the specific field based on the chosen topics.

Reviewers

Reviewers are independent experts in the field of Food Science and Technology. The reviewers asked to evaluate the submitted manuscript objectively and give the authors constructive suggestion and comments to improve the manuscript.

Each paper will be reviewed independently by 2 reviewers. Authors can revise the manuscript according to the comment of reviewers in a two-round review process. The process will be conducted through a double-blind peer-review. The paper will be considered for further publishing if it has received favorable recommendation by the two reviewers and approval of the Editor Board. After receiving the final decision, suitable manuscripts will be submitted to the collaborator Publishers for proceeding publication.

Quality Criteria

The quality of the paper is assessed with the main guideline as follow:

  1. 1Scope and aim in accordance to the themes of the conference.
  2. 2Clear demonstration of originality, novelty, and contribution to the scientific field stated in the background.
  3. 3Original work without any fabrication, falsification, or any inappropriate manipulation. Any form of plagiarism is not accepted. Reasonable methods and appropriate data analysis, preferably any limitation of the methods should be acknowledged. Specifically for review papers, it has to highlight a novel idea with sound advance and updates on the selected topics.
  4. 4Adherence to ethical standards and codes of conduct relevant to the research field. Ethical approval and informed consent for studies involving human and/or animal participant have to be disclosed.
  5. 5Results are presented in clear and concise manner with correct English (US). Figures graphs are easy to be understood without reading the text.
  6. 6Conclusions are drawn appropriately based on the findings.
  7. 7Conflict of interest, including funding sponsors, should be mentioned.

Submission

Abstract and full-length manuscript is submitted via email submission directly to seafastseminar@apps.ipb.ac.id. Authors will receive a reply if the abstract and manuscript are successfully submitted and recorded by the Editors. If the authors do not receive a confirmation reply after 3 days, please contact seafastseminar@apps.ipb.ac.id.

Please prepare abstract and full-length manuscript according the templates. When sending the full-length manuscript, authors should provide one copy of complete manuscript and a copy of full-length manuscript without author identity (names and affiliations) for the purpose of double-blind peer-review when uploading.
